A few times a year, I co-lead Spirit Walks with my friend Judith van Hekken. We gather with a small group, early in the morning where you'll be welcomed with a cup of herbal tea. We start the experience with a brief meditation exercise before hitting the trail. Then we walk, in silence, through the woods. We break our silence at the end of the walk where we enjoy a light breakfast, usually in a spot with a beautiful view. The group shares their experience, the sights, sounds, and thoughts that they noticed when they took a moment for silence and reflected on the natural beauty around them.
